Supported by a favorable national legislative framework, an increasing number of local governments are equipping their facilities with appropriate monitoring solutions to track energy consumption and indoor air quality within buildings.
This is the case for the Bouches-du-Rhône Regional Council, which recently equipped 37 of its middle schools with 10 to 12 Enless Wireless ambient temperature sensors per school, as well as 3 to 4 pulse transmitters for remote meter reading of gas and water meters and several temperature sensors with contact probes on the domestic hot water systems, all using the 169 MHz Wireless M-Bus protocol.
HM Systèmes, a subcontractor for the energy consulting firm Idex, was responsible for installing these solutions in the facilities. Henri Marconcini, manager of the integration company, shares his impressions and satisfaction: “The transmission and reception quality of the 169 MHz Wireless M-Bus products is impressive! Historically, we integrated competing 868 MHz solutions. Since we made the switch, we no longer install repeaters—or very few—which saves us real time and saves the customer money. The Enless Wireless sensors are easy to set up using the AIR software, and the exportable Modbus table is a real plus for configuration.”
Lacroix Sofrel's PCWin monitoring software then allows users to view and analyze the data.
HM Systèmes has also entrusted us with the installation of Enless sensors on municipal buildings in the city of Vitrolles.
