LoRa Easy

Enless's proprietary protocol, widely praised by integrators for its ease of implementation.

What is LoRa Easy?

LoRa Easy is Enless's proprietary communication protocol, based on LoRa radio technology. It offers an alternative to LoRaWAN for connecting Enless sensors to your BMS, with a simple setup process.

In LoRa Easy mode, the sensors transmit their measurements directly to an Enless receiver. Unlike LoRaWAN, which is based on a standardized protocol open to various manufacturers, LoRa Easy operates exclusively within the Enless ecosystem.

Each receiver can collect data from up to 50 sensors. Depending on the model you choose, it makes this data available as Modbus registers or BACnet objects, or transmits it in JSON format to an HTTP server. This makes your measurements accessible to your PLCs and supervisory control systems.

How do you set up an Easy LoRa network?

Pair your Enless sensors with a LoRa Easy receiver to build a network tailored to your needs. This provides you with a solution that’s easy to deploy and configure for transmitting your building’s data to your BMS.

LoRa Easy is the communication mode most commonly used by Enless integrators, who appreciate how easy it is to implement. If the sensors required for your project are available in our product line and you do not need to integrate sensors from other manufacturers, this is a particularly well-suited solution.

Easy to configure and cost-effective, our LoRa Easy receivers let you deploy a local, subscription-free architecture with up to 50 sensors per receiver. You can choose the model that best suits your monitoring system: Modbus, BACnet, or HTTP.

Reception

A receiver that centralizes data and converts it into a Modbus table or BACnet objects for the BMS.

No signal?
No problem.

Another advantage of LoRa Easy: the ability to extend radio coverage using repeaters. They relay messages from your sensors to the receiver when distance or obstacles make direct communication difficult. This option is not available in LoRaWAN mode with Enless devices.

No configuration is required: simply power on the repeater and place it between the sensors and the receiver, in an area where it can receive messages properly. It will then automatically relay the received LoRa Easy frames to extend their range.

50%

This is the increase in range you can achieve by using signal repeaters.

2

This is the maximum number of signal repeaters we recommend installing on-site (to avoid overloading radio traffic and prevent message collisions).
