For nearly two months, Enless’s official Australian distributor, HLP Controls, has been conducting a pilot project to equip Qantas’s storage and maintenance warehouses.
The Enless Wireless Sigfox IoT product line, compatible with Zone 4 (Australia, Asia, Central and South America), was thus evaluated and tested in temperature and humidity monitoring applications within equipment storage areas. Phase 1 of these tests involved deploying Enless devices distributed by HLP Controls in the Qantas calibration center to ensure product accuracy.
Several ambient temperature and humidity transmitters, as well as ruggedized temperature transmitters, were then installed at various locations on the site and configured so that data collected at set intervals is transmitted to the Sigfox cloud and then analyzed via the Geartracker web interface developed by HLP Controls. Geartracker provides reports and alerts that enable monitoring of all environmental events that fall outside specified requirements (alert thresholds are configured in advance).
Since security issues are a top priority for our client Qantas due to the sensitive nature of its operations, the web interface had to be hosted on a secure cloud platform—which is exactly what Geartracker offers, as it is hosted on the secure cloud servers of AWS (Amazon Web Services), a leader in its field that guarantees the security and reliability of its systems.
The ultimate goal, following the successful completion of this testing phase, is to equip Qantas’s various sites across mainland Australia to ensure proper storage and handling of aircraft parts, avionics, repair materials, and more—a critical priority for the company.

When paired with our Geartracker monitoring system, they make the information available to authorized users anywhere and at any time. ”
