Enless has secured another project, this time in partnership with TEEO, a Réunion-based systems integrator with over 10 years of expertise in active energy management, having worked with more than 100 private companies, industrial firms, healthcare facilities, and local governments.
TEEO offers its customers a simple solution for monitoring and tracking electricity, water, and gas meters (continuous improvement in energy efficiency and reduction of CO2 emissions).
The project awarded to the Réunion Regional Council involves monitoring water and gas consumption at 18 secondary schools (high schools) and 3 training centers.
About 20 Pulse Enless Wireless transmitters, operating on the 169 MHz Wireless M-Bus private radio frequency, were deployed and installed starting in April 2019, with deployment scheduled to be completed in November 2019.
Kévin Tailleman, Account Manager at TEEO, who had previously deployed 868 MHz Wireless M-Bus solutions for past projects, says: “The radio range of the Enless Wireless 169 MHz Wireless M-Bus product line is much better than that of the old 868 MHz radio line! The difference was clear, and the performance improvements were immediately noticeable in terms of data communication. The batteries also last longer, which allows for longer intervals between maintenance visits.”
The water meter transmitters that have been installed were configured to transmit data every half hour, while the Pulse Atex gas meter transmitters were programmed to transmit data every hour.
The data collected in this way is transmitted to Enless Wireless receivers and then to the PLC, where it is ultimately displayed and analyzed via the TEEO platform itself, which includes two qualitative components:
- “Smart IMMO” is a visualization module that allows users to view consumption data (water, electricity, gas, fuel, etc.) through an intuitive tree structure and set up alerts available on the platform or sent via email. This module also enables the generation of generic or customized reports based on the client’s needs. TEEO also notes that “Smart IMMO” is constantly evolving and that an initial level of interactivity has been developed, allowing customers to integrate forecast data to compare it with actual consumption.
- “Smart SIME” (Energy Management Information System), a platform recognized by AFNOR (the French Standards Association) that enables customers to take their efforts a step further by adopting an ISO 50001 certification process. “For us, this is a real point of differentiation,” explains Kévin Tailleman.
This project further strengthens the seven-year partnership between the two companies. TEEO will also be responsible for deploying Enless’s remote meter reading solutions for building management system ( BMS ) projects, BMS temperature monitoring solutions at certain customer sites.
Kévin Tailleman notes that certain customer installations on water meters have enabled the detection of water leaks and, as a result, led to direct savings on water usage.
TEEO is also beginning to deploy radio solutions based on the Sigfox communication protocol.
