This year’sthird edition of the Sigfox Connect technology trade show brought together a large number ofindustry players from the Asian, Australian, and European markets in Singapore.
The 0G network operator specializing in IoT took this opportunity to announce a preview of the imminent development of a low-bandwidth private PAN (Private Area Network), which is expected to launch in France by the end of the first quarter of 2020. Its rollout overseas will be gradual, announced Ludovic Le Moan, CEO of Sigfox.
Among its other major announcements, Sigfox reported that 16 million devices would be connected to its network by the end of 2019 and more than one billion by 2023 … before noting that in 2019, the network handled an average of more than 22 million messages per day.
The operator has also secured a contract to connect 850,000 gas meters for Nicigas in Japan by the end of 2020.
Enless Wireless took advantage of its presence at this major technology event to reaffirm its commitment to expanding its presence in Asia by strengthening its network in that market.
