In brief
Enless Wireless partnered with BTIB, a distributor of the Tridium and GC5 brands, at the latest edition of the IBS – Intelligent Building Systems – trade show, which took place last month in Paris.
This new value-added partnership is centered on the development of a transparent communication protocol between Tridium's JACE devices and the data frames from Enless Wireless's 169 MHz Wireless M-Bus radio transmitters.
BTIB, the technical partner for system integrators and service providers in the smart building sector
Since 2002, BTIB has been the Tridium distributor in France, serving more than 95 partner companies. With a background in system integration, BTIB’s teams have the expertise to provide qualified technical support to their clients. In addition to distributing JACE and the Niagara Framework, BTIB provides training and technical support to its integrator clients, partner companies, and specialists in the connected building sector.
Niagara, a framework developed by Tridium, enables data acquisition, the programming of logic and automation, the creation of web-based graphical interfaces, and communication with any type of third-party software. It is currently the most widely used platform in the world for smart and connected buildings.
The addition of Enless Wireless sensors to the BTIB catalog and the development of transparent mode
In line with its commitment to providing a simple and cost-effective way to connect BMS external applications and to offer its customers an BMS comprehensive BMS solution, BTIB naturally sought to expand its portfolio of solutions by integrating the IoT radio module provided by Enless Wireless.
Initial testing of Enless Wireless radio transmitters was conducted using a Modbus receiver, a temperature transmitter with an integrated sensor, and an ambient temperature transmitter from Enless Wireless’s 169 MHz Wireless M-Bus series.
Teddy Caroni, a partner at BTIB, says: “The success of the initial tests conducted with Enless Wireless radio sensors demonstrated excellent reliability and impressive range. These high-performance products will enable our integration partners to offer solutions that are simpler and faster to implement at a very competitive price.”
The BTIB technical teams have developed a library that decodes the frames transmitted by Enless devices, enablingtransparent communication between the Enless Wireless Modbus receiver and the JACE controller, which incorporates the Niagara Framework.
This transparent mode eliminates the need for the traditional Enless sensor installation process (thus replacing the AIR wireless installation software). The ease of implementation of Enless’s Wireless M-Bus product line provides system integrators with a solution that is both industrial-grade andPlug and Play.
“We are confident in BTIB’s ability to promote our solutions through its network of system integrator partners. The transparent approach developed by their teams offers real added value; we are excited about this new partnership,” says Victor Petit, sales engineer at Enless Wireless.
The transmitter models from Enless Wireless’s 169 MHz Wireless M-Bus range are now available in BTIB’s online store. In-depth training sessions for staff are also currently underway.
By offering complementary solutions for monitoring air quality, temperature, and contact, as well as remote energy meter reading solutions, BTIB is able to provide a comprehensive, turnkey solution to its network of system integrators.
And what's next…?
BTIB is also planning to incorporate the future Lora Enless Wireless range to its online store starting in early 2020.
