At the beginning of this year, Enless Wireless joined the Wize Alliance, an international consortium whose goal is to promote the LPWAN (Low Range Wide Area Network) Wize standard, for the Internet of Things. The organisation brings together the major international players in the industrial and public service sectors.
Wize technology already connects more than 8 million IoT devices throughout the world using the 169 MHz frequency.
Wize technology is already industrialised in the sectors of water, gas, waste treatment and the technical management of buildings. At this time, the technology has mainly been used for smart metering and the Alliance is especially interested in the creation of an Internet of Things use case, presenting an innovative response to challenges posed by urban, suburban and rural environments.
It is in this context that Enless will soon participate, together with SUEZ Smart Solutions Limited and Bordeaux Métropole Énergies, in the call for projects led by the Alliance for the purpose of stimulating and developing the creation of a new Wize technology use case. Reward for the project retained, a development assistance budget of €100,000!
