The Enless LoRa Modbus receiver allows you to receive data from 50 Enless sensors simultaneously. This Modbus gateway enables integrators to easily retrieve data from Enless LoRa sensors to a controller / a BMS. The Modbus LoRa receiver natively decodes data frames from Enless sensors and converts them into a Modbus table. It’s important to note that the Modbus Enless receiver is not a LoRaWAN gateway and is only compatible with Enless sensors.
Pairing Enless LoRa transmitters with the Modbus receiver is straightforward and can be done through the receiver’s configuration server. You can also use the configuration server to verify the Received Signal Strength Indication (RSSI) between the LoRa sensors and the receiver. The generated Modbus table can be accessed through the server as well.
In terms of radio performance, the open-field communication range between a transmitter and the Modbus Enless gateway is over 4km. Within a building, the range may be reduced by obstacles, but Enless LoRa mode communication is designed for monitoring very large buildings or industrial sites. In case of a weak radio signal, you have the option to use signal repeaters.
Please note that the receiver does not come with an antenna, and it is strongly recommended to use a long-range antenna with the receiver (ANT REN SMA LR 868 1000-008).
